I was fortunate enough to go to a Shift Speaker Training event in Mebourne over the weekend – and I found it amazing. So amazing that I’m going to share with you this article I just read from Jo, regarding transformation. Watch this space people.
HOW TO TRANSFORM YOUR FEARS INTO SUCCESS
My last article, 5 Top Tips To Breathe Fresh Life into Your Business, took a seasonal look at how to re-energise your business.
This week, as it’s been such a transformational weekend, let’s stay on that theme.
How To Transform Your Fears into Success
In any type of transformation work, the focus is on how to get people from where they are to where they want to be in the quickest and most enjoyable way.
And there’s no greater illustration of this than public speaking. When it comes to having the guts to stand on stage and deliver your heartfelt message the biggest block I see to making this happen is lack of confidence and self-belief.
Time and time again, I see people who want to move their business forward, who want to make the big money, who want to do things to improve their lives, who want to be a public speaker but fears and insecurities of all sorts act like a massive STOP sign to their dreams.
How Much Do You Let Self-Talk Hold You Back?
You see, elaborate self-talk and doubt is your biggest enemy to success. Especially when it comes to public speaking..
And as adults, we doubt ourselves all the time! We doubt ourselves not just about standing on stage and speaking in public, although this is the example I use here, but we doubt we are attractive enough, slim enough, clever enough. We doubt we are fit enough, fashionable enough, funny enough… good enough for all sorts of things.
Enough for what? I ask. “Enough” presupposes we are comparing ourselves to someone else who is supposedly better than us.
If you lack the confidence and self-belief to do the things you want to do or be who you want to be, first you need to notice what’s going on inside that brain of yours.
Do you hear all the limiting self-talk?
Now Do The Opposite!
Now start to do the opposite. Why? Because one of the brain’s functions is to prove itself right. This is why it’s vital you think and behave in a manner that is congruent with what you want.

So if you want to stand on stage and deliver your message to an audience of people, then you must convince yourself that those people want to hear you speak, that you do have something of worth to share with the world, that you are confident, deserving and successful!
Your Turn
So, if you are crippled by your lack of self-believe and you’re fed up of feeling like you are not good enough to stand on stage or do anything you dream of doing, know that change can start right now. Edit the talk in your head and start to believe in your own personal power. Remember, success breeds success so one tiny step now can mean huge transformation for the future.
